May 5, 2001 - MILLER, Elizabeth (Hibbs) - Passed peacefully away on Saturday, May 5, 2001 at the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge. Elizabeth Miller, aged 87 years. Predeceased by her husband Walter in 1970. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her daughter Sheila (Ian Goodyear); granddaughters: Treena and Janet; great-grandson Tyson; sisters: Agnes White (Peter Costa) and Sue Power; nephews: Brendan Hibbs (Margaret), Walter Chidley (Patricia); special great-niece Dawn (Jim Peddigrew) and their sons Chris and Mark; dear friend Ethel Churchill; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A special thank you to her caregivers and friends at Glenbrook Lodge. Resting at Carnell`s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral arrangements to be announced at a later date. September 8, 2001 - MILLER, Harold - Passed peacefully away on Saturday, September 8, 2001 at the Woodford Comfort Manor in Holyrood, Harold Miller of Bell Island, in his 85th year. Happy to be reunited and at peace, his final wish fulfilled. Predeceased by his loving wife Jean (1981); his parents Albert and Tryphenia; brothers: Ernest, Ches, Wilson, Art, Clement, Douglas and William; son-in-law John Heath and Fergus Hawco. Left to celebrate his life are his five children: Jean Hawco, Ontario, Harold (Joyce) and Frazer (Shirley), Chamberlains, Sandra (Eddie), Islington and Kenneth, Ontario. Also leaving to mourn are his brothers and sisters: Albert, Melvina, Peter (Marg), Adrian (Sylvia), Mary (Harry Somerton), all in and around St. John`s, Art (Joan), Vancouver, Jim (Ros), Toronto; sister-in-law Elizabeth (Delahunty), C.B.S.; former daughter-in-law Cabrini Miller (Cleary), Harbour Grace; also 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a large number of nephews and nieces. Resting at Pendergast Funeral Home, Bell Island, with visitation hours on Monday, September 10th, 10:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday, September 11th at Masonic Lodge from 10:00 until service at 2:00 p.m. to take place at St. Cyprians Anglican Church, Bell Island. Interment to follow at the St. Cyprian Anglican Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted. Somerton); son Gordon Jr.; daughters: Bernice Churchill (Alf) and Maureen
Tucker; beloved grandchildren: Janet and Jerry Miller, Wanda Gaudon, Rodney and
Lynette Churchill, Barry, Rick, Randy and Damien Tucker, Darlene McCarthy,
Sherry Stapleton and Tina Sullivan; 18 cherished great-grandchildren; sisters:
Martha Rose, Violet Miller and Laura Healey; sisters-in-law: Edith Harding (Reg)
