Predeceased by her husband Thomas, 1998; and son David 1995. Leaving to mourn three sons: Tom (Peg), Robert (Gladys), Walter (Wanda); five daughters: June Byrne, Alice Barnes (David), Bernice Dawe (Henry), Martha Dawe (Hubert), Tina Porter (David); 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 brother Arthur Fowler (Minnie); also other relatives and friends. Resting at the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews until noon Sunday. Funeral to take place on Sunday, August 16th at 2 p.m. at All Saints Church, Foxtrap. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Topsail.

February 12, 2001 - COURTNEY, Albert Lloyd - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare`s Mercy Hospital, after a long illness, on Monday, February 12th, 2001. Albert Lloyd Courtney, aged 87 years. Predeceased by his father and mother, Captain Samual and Beatrice Courtney and several brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn with many happy memories, his wife Myrtle (nee Greenslade ), of 63 years; one daughter Sylvia Collins, husband Phil, California; two sons: Jack, wife Joan, St. John`s and Albert, wife Betty, California; brother George Courtney; two sisters: Ruth Mahoney, Beatrice Kennedy, husband George, all of St. John`s; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special nephews: Gerry Mahoney, wife Donna, Gary Mahoney and Arthur Greenslade, wife Phyllis; brother-in-law Emerson Greenslade, wife Muriel; also a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday; and from 10 a.m. - 12 noon Friday. Funeral Service to take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2001 from Barrett`s Chapel. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. April 23, 2003 - GREENSLADE, Percy - Passed peacefully away at his residence in Long Pond on Wednesday, April 30, 2003, surrounded by his wife and family, Percy Greenslade, age 83 years, Royal Navy WWII Veteran. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Rita of 58 years; one daughter, Judy Smith; two sons: Malcolm (Carmel) and Adrian; four grandchildren: Percy Smith (Janet), Tony Smith (Frances), Kimberley (Andrew) Grandy, and Craig Greenslade; six great-grandchildren: Amanda, Katie, Kevin, Sean, Adriane, and David; as well as a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews. Visitation on Friday 10-12 Noon, 2-4 p.m. and 7:00-9:30 p.m., Saturday 10-12 Noon. May 9, 2003 - GREENSLADE, Adeline Butler - Passed peacefully away surrounded by family, at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John`s on Friday, May 9, 2003, Adeline Butler Greenslade of Long Pond, Manuels, Conception Bay South, age 78 years. Predeceased by her father and mother, Samuel and Annie Butler. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Gerald Morgan Greenslade and her children and grandchildren: daughter and son-in-law, Lola and Reginald Leonard, beloved granddaughter Colette; son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Lana Greenslade, beloved granddaughters Nicole, Megan, Angela and Haley; daughter and son-in-law Glenda and Brigham Young, beloved granddaughters Mandy, Tina and Cheryl Radford; son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Kim Greenslade, beloved grandsons, Bradley and Jeffrey.
